| Stephen Williams MP | <stephenwilliamsmp@parliament.uk> | 22nd November 2008 |
Stephen Williams' views on capital punishmentI abhor the death penalty. It has no place in any modern criminal justice system. It is not an effective deterrent; it demonstrates contempt for human life, and due to its irrevocable nature it will lead to the death of innocent individuals who are wrongly convicted. The government must work hard to safeguard the rights and interests of British nationals who are under threat of execution abroad. Printed and hosted by Prater Raines Ltd, 82b Sandgate High Street, Folkestone CT20 3BX.Published and promoted by Chris Luffingham on behalf of Stephen Williams and the Liberal Democrats, both at Unit 6, Fenton Court, Fenton Road, Bishopston, Bristol, BS7 8ND. The views expressed are those of the party, not of the service provider. |
